Thank You!!
I would like to extend a huge Thank You to everyone that supported me during this election. I ran to serve Charleston’s citizens with dignity, pride, a listening ear, and a healthy dose of common sense. While I am deeply grateful for the 1,798 voters who blessed me with their votes, I fell short of making it into office.
During this campaign, I had the wonderful chance to meet many new people and hear many new stories. With each interaction, I walked away learning something new about the people of this great city. I learned many new lessons and explored new points of view. While it was not in the cards for me to hold public office this go around, the lessons I have learned will stay with me for life. Using those lessons and lessons learned from my 2018 campaign will make me a better member of the community and a person better able to serve my community.
I will not be going anywhere; I look forward to finding new ways to serve my community as a private citizen. Just because the election is over doesn’t mean I will stop working to create a better community for all.
I pray for the city of Charleston and hope the newly elected council members will unselfishly serve the citizens of Charleston in the best way possible. I wish them success and wish for a greater Charleston.
Now let’s get to work!
